After we installed laminate hardwood flooring in our week-end home, we used the manufacturer's furnished cleaner. All it did was gather the dust, crumbs, etc., in a pile. Now I had a pile of dirt and the floor still looked bad.
I bought the Wet Jet and the Swiffer Vacuum and am very happy I did. The vacuum is perfect for the flooring, picking up all the little stuff that really shows on wood floors and the Wet Jet does a nice job of mopping up. It dries quickly and, if you've vacuumed thoroughly before you started, there is little or no streaking. The streaking I noticed on 50-year old hardwood floors was because the Wet Jet pad was dirty and needed replacing. It did a good job and now I have them in both of our homes. The Wet Jet and Swiffer vacuum also work well on our stone tile floors in the bathrooms and kitchens.

Super easy to use! It does NOT eat batteries as someone else reported. Not unless you use it several times a day. And I wouldn't use it for really awful messes that require major soak up. But for general use, to mop in the kitchen or bath, this thing is a breeze! I have a white kitchen floor and so sometimes I place a thin scrubbing pad between the Swiffer pad and the floor if there's some tougher spots to clean. Be warned though, the supplies for this sucker are expensive.

This is so much better than a mop and bucket. I don't mind paying for the refills. The Febreeze scented cleaner smells so good. This makes cleaning up quick!
